New Patient Information For Medical Weight Loss
Obesity has been classified as a chronic disease. Anyone that has attempted to lose weight knows how difficult it is not only to lose weight, but to maintain their weight. Thus, the most important part is maintenance. We will tailor a program specifically for you so you can achieve and maintain your desired weight.
The treatment for being overweight/obese can not be lumped into one cure all program. Just as there are different reasons why people become overweight/obese, there are also different ways of assisting people to overcome their obesity or being overweight. One of the problems may be metabolic in nature. Because of this we look at the whole you, not just your weight. This is why not everyone will lose weight on one basic plan. You will see a medical provider on the initial visit and on subsequent visits.
Primary Program:
Our primary program consists of our daily supplements, a weekly injection, appetite suppressant medication* and weekly office visit. Different people may require different supplements. The supplements prescribed for you will be done by the physician who sees you on your initial visit, as well as for your follow-up visits.
The success of our program is based on the use of the prescribed supplements along with teaching you how to maintain a proper and healthy diet, as well as teaching you the proper exercise for weight maintenance.
Anyone can help you lose weight. The key is maintaining the weight you desire.
*Patients must meet Bariatric Guidelines as well as State of Florida Statutes regulating the use of appetite suppressant medication(s).
Things to know before your 1st appointment:
- Please fast for 8 hours prior to initial visit. You are able to drink only water during those 8 hours.
- Bring knowledge of all medications you are currently taking.
- Bring along your medical history.
- Cost of initial visit $225.00.
- Costs of subsequent visits are: Follow up appointments with a doctor $65.00. Follow up appointments with medical staff $45.00
What to expect on first visit:
- Bringing with you the initial paperwork or arrive 20 minutes early to complete your initial paperwork at the office. Be sure to bring a list of all current medications and any medical conditions.
- We will measure your height and weight
- Complete body fat analysis
- EKG if needed
- Initial consultation/ Evaluation with a doctor
- Receive first medication if a candidate
- Receive first injection
- Supplements will be made available
- Schedule your next follow up visit for the following week.
