Pre Vi Peel Treatment Cautions

Avoid any exfoliating treatments in the days leading to the Vi peel such as microdermabrasion, waxing, electrolysis, or any aggressive chemicals such as strong exfoliants. Any of these will irritate the skin and the peel cannot be administered to irritated skin.

The use of Retinoic Acid, even the same day, is not a contraindication to the peel.

As with any peeling products:

  • Vi Peel cannot be applied to an open wound, sunburned, broken, infected or clearly irritated skin

  • Vi Peel cannot be applied on active cold sores, herpes simplex or warts

  • Vi Peel cannot be applied to skin with a suspicious lesion

  • Vi Peel cannot be applied to the skin of pregnant or nursing women

  • Vi Peel cannot be applied to the skin of someone who has been on Accutane within the past 3 months

  • Vi Peel cannot be used on a person who has hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients in the peel: TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid), Salicylic Acid, Phenol, Retinoic Acid, Vitamins and Microelements

  • The usual risk of PIH or Post Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation still exists as with any other peels.

Follow Post Vi Peel Skin Care Guidelines carefully to obtain the best results.
