Other Factors To Consider Before Having Your Permanent Full Lips Procedure At Our Permanent Makeup Tampa FL Center
Excluding mascara and lipstick, please have your normal makeup applied the day of your free consultation. Bring with you your cosmetic eyeliner, eyebrow, and lip color. If you have a specific brand of makeup remover that you prefer to use, please bring that product as well. Avoid wearing makeup on your face the day of your scheduled permanent lip liner procedure.
Exfoliate your lips in the morning and before bed. Lightly with a washcloth or your toothbrush will do the job. By doing so, this will help to remove the dry excess skin from your lips that could interfere with the permanent lip procedure. We also recommend that you drink large amounts of water to help keep the lips hydrated and healthy.
Refrain from the use of alcohol, aspirin-containing products, Vitamins A and E for 3 days before your procedure. These products thin the blood. Note: Never discontinue use of any medication, prescription or over the counter, that has been prescribed or recommended by your physician without his/her consent, and inform your technician in the event continued use of any of the items listed above is required.
Refrain from excessive consumption of products containing caffeine the day of the procedure. These products contribute to nervousness.
If you have EVER had a cold sore and/or fever blister in the past, you carry the herpes simplex virus within your body. Every person is different in their activity of this virus; some may have frequent outbreaks, and some may have only had one or two outbreaks a long time ago. NEVERTHELESS, the virus is still stored within your body. The lip procedure will most likely cause an outbreak in individuals who have this virus.
In order to block the possible outbreak of a cold sore, if you have EVER had a cold sore and/or fever blister in the past, you are advised to take the below mentioned medication prior to your procedure to alleviate the possibility of an outbreak. This is an optional medication and Affinity Body Solutions Permanent Cosmetics Center will not be held liable or hold any liability regarding its use or nonuse for prevention of cold sores and/or fever blisters.
Please request one of these anti-viral medications from your Physician:
- Zovirax (Acyclovir)
- Famvir
- Valtrex
You will need to take the prescribed dosage of one of the above listed medications for five (5) consecutive days. Begin by taking the medication two (2) days before your lip procedure, the day of your lip procedure and two (2) days following your lip procedure.
REMEMBER: Each of these medications has a different dosage, so please check with your physician regarding adequate dosing and administration.
As you will be returning for your perfecting session in approximately 6-8 weeks, please request enough medication to cover you for two (2) lip procedures.
