Care Tips After Having A Permanent Eyebrows Procedure At Our Permanent Makeup Tampa FL Center
Please Follow These Simple Guidelines After Your Permanent Eyebrows Procedure
Immediately after, your permanent eyebrows procedure area may appear darker, thicker and with an unnatural “drawn in” look. Once healing is complete, you will be able to fully appreciate the color and softness of your permanent eyebrows procedure. It is also possible that the color will heal too light, which can easily be corrected during your complimentary touch up session.
Additional aftercare information regarding you permanent eyebrows procedure:
- You may wear eye shadow but use extra care not to get any off it on the procedure area.
- Never use your fingertips to apply Vaseline to any area where a permanent cosmetic procedure has been performed. Use a clean Q-tip to apply the Vaseline. In addition, use a wet clean Q-tip to remove any excess pigment from eye area. Never use your fingers!
- Gently apply a light coating of Vaseline 4-6 times daily until the permanent eyebrows have healed – generally, this lasts about one week. This will keep dust particles from getting into the pigmented area and allows the pigment to heal properly in the skin. We also recommended that you apply an additional light coating of Vaseline to the eyebrows before sleeping and bathing.
- Never let direct spray from the shower hit the area where permanent cosmetics have been applied for one week. Allow the water to run gently down your face.
- Any possible itching in the permanent eyebrows area can be alleviated by pressing with a clean Q-tip. Never pick, rub or peel off any pigment in the permanent cosmetic procedure area during the healing process - this will remove the pigment. A light peeling may occur, which is also normal.
- Avoid the sun, sauna, Jacuzzi and swimming in chlorinated water as well as the ocean until the permanent cosmetic procedure has fully healed.
- Avoid strenuously exercise activity until the procedure has healed, especially if you are prone to headaches.
Note: As with any permanent cosmetic procedure, this is a process. Please do not expect results immediately after the procedure; patience is crucial. Your “touch up” session will take care of any flaws. It will take a few weeks before you can fully enjoy your desired results, which you will love and appreciate for years to come.
If not all steps provided above are followed after having your permanent eyebrows procedure, it is possible for an infection to occur. Signs of an infection could include such discomforts as increased redness and or swelling, soreness or pain, continual bleeding, discharge of fluid, fever, heat/warmth at site, red streaks originating from site, swollen glands. Should any of these symptoms occur, please seek medical attention.
