Pre Care For Your Areola Repigmentation Procedure With Our Permanent Makeup Artist
Areola repigmentation can be performed once you have clearance from your physician. Our permanent cosmetic artist will communicate with your surgeon to ensure that we follow along with their recommendations. Areola repigmentation can generally be performed as early as 6 months after your surgery, but it is always recommended that you first contact your physician.
Once your physician has given clearance for areola repigmentation, you can immediately schedule your free consultation with our permanent cosmetic artist. During that consultation, we will discuss your expected results and any concerns you my have. We will then construct a procedure plan based around your selected preferences. During the free consultation we will also provide you with guidelines that will help you prepare for your areola repigmentation procedure.
Choosing a Design, and Performing a Spot Test
Our permanent cosmetics facility has a complete color assortment of hypo-allergenic areola pigments. We will work with you, and together we can find the perfect color to match your skin tone that will give you the natural look. When performing an areola repigmentation, we will perform a spot color test before the actual procedure begins. Your body’s chemistry and skin tone can have an effect on the healed repigmentation areas and the overall lasting color of the repigmented areas. That is why the spot test is crucial, it is the safest way to determine the proper pigmentation formula to achieve the closest color match to your existing areola.
We will be conducting the color spot test as a separate appointment; it will be completed 4 to 6 weeks prior to the actual repigmentation procedure. This will allow enough time for healing and give the pigment the opportunity to stabilization. Once the test spot has properly healed, we will then evaluate the color, if the results are as desired, we will then begin the areola repigmentation procedure. Please remember that an areola repigmentation procedure will generally require a complimentary follow up session where we will evaluate and touch up any areas to achieve the optimum result.
