What to Expect From Your First Botox Cosmetic Procedure At Our Tampa FL Location
Preparing for Your First Botox Treatment
Our clients always achieve the highest level of satisfaction when they know what to expect from their first Botox treatment. Having a good idea of what to expect will help you relax during the Botox treatment. The routine may vary slightly from doctor to doctor, but the typical process for a Botox treatment is outlined. This information will help you be fully prepared on the day of your appointment.
Your Appointment Day
When you arrive at our office, you will be asked to fill out patient information forms. You will then meet with the doctor or experienced staff member to go over the process and your expectations for the Botox treatment procedure. Make sure you don’t forget to tell us about any allergies you may have.
At Affinity Body Solutions you can schedule a consultation with our doctor. This consultation is complimentary and lets you ask questions you may have, the doctor can address concerns and inform you of how he can best achieve your desired results. Depending on availability, you may also receive your treatment following the complimentary consultation for Botox treatment.
Preparing for Botox Injections
Once you have filled out all of the required forms, you will be seated in a reclining chair, similar to the chair used in the dentist’s office. The doctor will decide where to administer the Botox injections by having you contract facial muscles. He will base his decision on where to administer the Botox injections based on your desired results and your ability to move the facial muscles. The doctor will mark the locations to be treated. Although no anesthesia is necessary, the doctor may choose to numb the target areas with a cold pack or a numbing cream.
If you experience any discomfort, it will be minimal and lasts a very short time. The administration of Botox injections takes about 10 minutes. After completing the Botox treatment, you can return to your daily activities or go back to work. There are certain activities you should avoid, which are on our Botox Post-Treatment Care page.
